This Plymouth GTX 440 Big Block V8 is looking for a new stable to call home.
Once known as one of the great gods of Mopar, Plymouth has made a name for itself over the years by producing some of the most outstanding muscle cars in history. This American automobile legend was one of the largest manufacturers in the world of Mopar muscles, derived from the manufacture of automobiles such as the RoadRunner, GTX, and Barracuda. The GTX in particular was an amazing accomplishment as it pushed the boundaries of what a muscle car should be. It's almost like driving the line between pony and muscle cars with immense strength and a lighter frame than most. With the best of what the Mopar engine team had to offer, the GTX became an icon of its own when it took the automotive world by storm.
This particular car embodies this exceptionally well as it has a 440 V8 under the hood and puts around 390 horsepower to the rear wheels. This 1969 Plymouth GTX likes to drive fast and good looking as it has the classic Mopar attitude of being tough in general. Speaking of wheels, a set of classic Plymouth wheels accompanies the car, which holds the overall aesthetic together quite nicely. The performance bonnet also features bonnet pins that give the vehicle a dragster look, and the two-tone silver and black paintwork seals the deal.
The interior appears to be completely original as it still rocks the classic black leather seats and trim that such vintage cars are known for. Wood paneling also accompanies the gear knob on the center console, which rounds off the look of the late 60s in its entirety. This car would be an incredible find for any muscle car enthusiast to get their hands on. However, the vehicle can only go to one person so hurry up before it's gone forever.
This car will be available for sale at the Big Boy's Toys sale in Clayton, Indiana on October 9th. To register to bid, click here.
