What do you think will lead to victory?
Many people wonder what would win in a race: the 1971 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda or the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. It's a natural thing to think about, considering that both of them represent particularly potent spec specifically geared towards getting out on the track faster than the competition. That's exactly what we're getting with the include video, which is great. It's a special treat to see two rare muscle cars that were created on the drag strip during the horsepower wars.

When it comes to rarity, the '69 Camaro ZL1 undoubtedly wins. Sure, not many people raised the hundreds of dollars for the Hemi 'Cuda option, but it was by far a much more popular model. The ZL1 set buyers back an astonishing $ 4,160 at the time, making it way too rich for most enthusiasts, no matter how dedicated they were to Chevrolet. Because of this, only 69 of the cars were made so you won't see many.

Of course, when it comes to the 'Cuda, it hits hard with a 426ci Hemi V8 that's said to be 425 horsepower and 490 lb.-ft. Torque ex works. However, this is a lot underestimated. A TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission means the driver can't screw up a run with a messy gear change, even if it means less fun and potentially worse acceleration. Unfortunately, we don't know what the back aisles are for this Mopar. Weighing around 3,721 pounds, this' cuda is a fairly light fish.

The Chevrolet is powered by a 427ci ZL1 V8 with an output of 430 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of the torque. Just like the 'Cuda, these ratings are way below reality. Plus, the Camaro has a TH400 automatic transmission, so at least these two cars are pretty much the same in that regard. Just like the Plymouth, the back gears on this Chevy are a mystery. The Camaro ZL1 has a slight advantage as its curb weight is around 3,500 lbs.
Both cars appear to be in stock, but there might be some non-obvious engine modifications. After all, the Hemi 'Cuda apparently shoots out 1000 hp, and that without forced introduction. But wait, the Camaro ZL1 has also been modified so that the engine delivers over 700 hp
It feels like this could be anyone's race, but ultimately only one can win. What do you think it will be Watch the video to see if you were right, then leave a comment to let us know if you got it right.
