Nissan builds a limited number of these GT-R NISMO Special Edition for the USA. Orders will be opened in the fall.
The NISMO Special Edition is kept in Stealth Gray and has an exposed carbon fiber hood and 20-inch wheels with a red trim. It is also the first GT-R to feature the new Nissan logo.
This particular GT-R has all-wheel drive and is powered by a 600-hp, 3.8-liter V6 with two turbochargers.
Nissan continues to work on the R35 generation GT-R, although it is about to retire. This new GT-R NISMO Special Edition, which hits the US this fall, will be extremely limited, although Nissan has not shared any production numbers. And no, it has no more power than the racetrack-oriented GT-R NISMO.

The special vehicles will receive a blueprint version of the 3.8-liter V-6 with two turbochargers and two turbochargers from the NISMO, which is still equipped with the same turbochargers used for the Nissan GT-R GT3 class racing car. It produces 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque (standard GT-Rs make 565 horsepower) that are sent to all four wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In our 2014 test of a GT-R NISMO, it took off to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds on its way to a quarter mile of 10.9 seconds at 128 mph.
GT-R NISMO vehicles (for Nissan Motorsport) are characterized by a more aggressive aero kit with a large rear wing and red trim. The Special Edition vehicles are designed in an attractive, exclusive stealth gray with an exposed carbon fiber hood (non-Special Edition NISMOs also have carbon hoods). The cars also feature a set of 20-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels with red rims and the NISMO logo, and are the first GT-Rs to feature the new Nissan logo on the trunk and center caps. They also receive a unique badge with red writing on their handcrafted engines.
Nissan has not yet released pricing for the 2022 GT-R NISMO Special Edition, but we expect it to be slightly above the standard starting price of $ 212,535 for NISMO when orders open this fall.
