49ers sign seventh-rounder Jauan Jennings
The 49ers have signed a second player from their 2020 design class.
The broad recipient Jauan Jennings joins the offensive lineman Colton McKivitz as members of the group with four-year contracts. The 49ers announced the signing on Wednesday morning.
Jennings was one of two broad recipients selected by the 49ers in April. During his last season in Tennessee, he had 59 receptions for 969 yards and eight touchdowns, and left school with the fourth most common yard in school history.
First-round Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk will fight for the season in a group that may be without Deebo Samuel to start the season. Samuel broke his foot earlier this month and is expected to be out of action at least until August.
Aiyuk, Javon Kinlaw from the first round and Charlie Woerner from the sixth round are the unsigned 49er picks.
