5-foot-3 mom goes viral trying to hold 21-pound twin daughters at once
As all parents know, trying to care for a baby is a lot, then multiply that by two for twins and it's a lot to deal with, as seen in a now viral video.
The video, which went viral on TikTok, shows Alexis LaRue, 22, trying to hold her seven-month-old twin daughters, Camila and Elena, who weigh around 21 pounds each.
At just 5 feet 3 inches, LaRue of St. Paul, Minnesota has her hands full with babies over 40 pounds.
"For me it's a no," LaRue titled the video, which has more than five million likes.

LaRue told Good Morning America that her daughters born in March were in the 92nd percentile for weight and 98th percentile for height after their last pediatrician visit.

The girls weighed six pounds each at birth and have continued to grow into the healthy, happy babies they are today, according to LaRue, who said her fiancé, the girls' father, was 5 feet 11 inches tall.

"They are very calm babies and they are not very needy and I think it's because they have each other," she said. "They're super energetic and they're just very good babies."
LaRue, a home mom, started sharing videos on TikTok when she first learned she was pregnant with twins in order to interact with other mothers of twins.

She started sharing videos of Camila and Elena when they were born and said that not only do they get attention online, but wherever they go in person.
"Literally everywhere we go I keep getting stopped," LaRue said. "A lot of people say, 'There's no way these are your babies' because I'm so small and quite tall. People ask for a picture of me when I was pregnant all the time, and people make comments all the time, that I'm so small and have big babies. "
Although the comments on social media have been overwhelmingly positive, LaRue said she sees some negative comments about the size of the babies.

"What helps me is that I know your pediatrician isn't worried," she said. But it is important that we talk about not shaming babies because they are human too and come in all shapes and sizes. "
“I love my babies,” LaRue continued. "You are perfect for me."
