50 Cent apologizes to Madonna for mocking her topless photo
Rapper and producer 50 Cent apologizes to Madonna after mocking her latest Instagram photo.
Earlier this week, the "Material Girl" singer shared a daring Instagram photo of her wearing barely visible black lingerie in bed with one of her breasts bared. Instagram later deleted the photo and Madonna posted a censored version.
However, shortly after the original picture appeared on social media, the power actor posted a photo of Madonna's legs under the house from The Wizard of Oz, comparing the star to the Wicked Witch of the East. He captioned the now-deleted meme: “Starz asked me to do a remake. I only said if Madonna could play the role because I need star power and sex appeal in this film. "

In a second deleted post, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, added: “This is Madonna under the bed trying to make 'Like A Virgin' at 63. She shot out when she couldn't get her old ass up. ”
Madonna hit back against the rapper in her Instagram story. She shared a photo of the two of them in 2003 that looked friendly and wrote, “Here is 50 cents pretending to be my friend. Now you've made up your mind to talk about me. I think your new career is getting noticed by trying to humiliate others on social media. The least sophisticated choice you can make as an artist and an adult. "
After the backlash, 50 Cent apologized to Madonna and wrote in a Twitter post on December 3rd: “I must have hurt Madonna's feelings, she went and dug up an old MTV photo from 03. Okay, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I'm not getting any benefit from it anyway. I said what I was thinking when I saw the picture because I had seen it before. I hope you will accept my apology. "
Madonna has not yet responded to 50 Cent's tweet, which has since been removed.
The "Get Rich or Die Trying" star has been called upon for the past few years to poke fun at his peers in the industry. In 2020, he used Instagram memes to mock Megan Thee Stallion after rapper "Hot Girl Summer" allegedly shot Tory Lanez. In 2018, he also made fun of Ashanti on social media after it had low ticket sales for a performance that was later canceled, leading the artist to call him a "tyrant". He also found himself in hot water with Will Smith after 50 Cent criticized his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith for publicly sharing that she was in a relationship outside of the couple's marriage.
