A Florida man just set fire to his own truck — but he had a reason, cops say
A Florida man was arrested for allegedly setting fire to his truck Friday night, but he had a reason, Okaloosa County MPs report.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office reported in a Facebook post that MPs responded to reports of a “loud explosion” on the roadside and found a Chevy Silverado that was completely on fire.
The car's owner, Kevin Robert Murphy, admitted he poured gasoline on his truck as well as the interior and then set it on fire.
A Florida man was stopped for speeding. So he played a song that the police know well
Why? In order to give the MPs "something to do", it says in the police report.
After MPs arrested the 28-year-old Florida man, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in his pocket, the complaint said. This added two property counts to his arson.
Murphy's trial date was set for December 28th.
