Have you ever wondered what it is like to live like the first president? Now is your chance!
A piece of George Washington's original estate in Mount Vernon, Alexandria, Virginia is for sale. The historic property, which spans 16.5 acres on the Potomac River, is for sale for $ 60 million - the most expensive list price the city has ever seen, according to the Los Angeles Times.
While the federal-style home on the site called River View was actually built in 2018, it's just a few miles from Washington's original mansion and is on the founding father's property.
"A visit to River View reminds us why Washington bravely proclaimed," I would rather be on my farm than the emperor of the world, "writes listing agent Heather Corey of TTR Sotheby's International Realty of the property.

A highlight of the house is a wood-paneled reception room that leads to a manicured garden and an acre of lush greenery.
According to the Times, the English colonial-style hedges and rose gardens are based on old blueprints from Washington's property.
