ABC Wanted Jason Tartick to Propose to Kaitlyn Bristowe on National Television—But He Said ‘No’

Earlier this week, Chris Harrison made Kaitlyn Bristowe think her boyfriend Jason Tartick made a suggestion - in fact, the Bachelor Nation presenter only asked the former Bachelorette to join the cast of Dancing with the Stars. If Harrison's speech seemed well rehearsed, it's probably because ABC tried to get Tartick to ask the question ... but he didn't choose.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tartick confirmed that producers had contacted him to suggest a proposal for The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons - Ever to Bristowe.
“They actually came to me and asked me if I would like to take this opportunity to make a suggestion. I shot it down after about a day of thinking, "he said, adding that there was no" pressure "on the decision.
Tartick admitted that there were several factors that influenced his decision. The biggest problem, however, was the fact that Bristowe's season of The Bachelorette aired again the same night and he didn't want to compete with 20 ex-friends.
"We don't need these stories to host them on the same show," he said. "But I said after Kaitlyn ... she says," Thank God [you didn't agree]. "
Bristowe intervened to confirm his story and said, "I don't want this to be done either. We're sorry. No way." And then he added, "I just know that I don't want it to be like living in front of people. I want it to be a private moment. I don't want it to be quarantined, but I want it to be private. "
We hope Tartick has made notes ...
