AG finds nearly 200 uncounted votes in Bedford, NH during review of 2020 election

The New Hampshire Attorney General's review of the 2020 Bedford election found that an election official's error left 188 ballots uncounted.
While Attorney General John Formella said the error did not affect the outcome of the election, he called it a "serious error" that led to "significant flaws" in Bedford's election results.

The Secretary of State and the Attorney General's Office will appoint an election observer for the next election, the September 13 primary.
Formella's investigation into the uncounted ballots found that an elections official "accidentally moved a lid/tray containing 188 unhandled mail-in ballots in such a way that they were not cast and counted in the November 2020 general election."
During a public meeting on April 6, two more uncounted ballots were found.
Formella said voters whose ballots were not counted were notified.
