Halloween is stepping up its game this year and we're absolutely thrilled! It's only been about a week in October and we've been blessed with loads of seasonal coffees, donuts, cookies and now several haunted house kits of sweet treats that will absolutely shake gingerbread houses. The latest is from Aldi, and the popular grocery chain may have the tastiest biscuit home kit out there.
Aldi sells a Benton's Chocolate Haunted House biscuit set with all the fixings to create the haunted house of your dreams. The kit looks eerily similar to a typical gingerbread house, but consists of chocolate-flavored walls. It comes with pre-made cookies, frosting, and tons of creepy candy like bats and pumpkins to decorate the walls. There also seems to be a "gingerbread" man (what do you call a cookie in this shape that isn't made of gingerbread anyway ???) and a pumpkin cookie that hangs out in front of your house.
The house kit costs around $ 8 and is the perfect family activity after all of the real pumpkins have been carved and this is your millionth view of Hocus Pocus. Instagrammer @ aldi.mademedoit posted a photo of the kits and it seems like their commentators agree this is an absolutely brilliant idea. "That's too cute!" one person commented. "I only did Christmas one year, but that looks funny !!" said another.
Plus, they even hinted that there are Thanksgiving cookie houses too, so we'll be looking for them in just a few weeks!
