All the Drugstore Makeup Jane Fonda Wore to the 2021 Golden Globes

It was a monumental night for Jane Fonda. By the way: At the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards, the legendary film star received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her incredible work in the film industry. To accept the honor, the 83-year-old actor and activist stepped out in a gorgeous cream suit, silver heels, and ethereal gold earrings. For her beauty look, she kept it fresh and classic, with damp skin, full lashes, and a peach-colored bare lip.
Makeup artist David Deleon says his inspiration came from Fonda's hair and her powerful suit. "Over the past year, Jane has grown her hair out to its natural silver shade, which is a beautiful and eye-catching frame for her face," he tells Allure. "Her outfit for tonight is a beautiful cream Richard Tyler tuxedo. My inspiration for today's look was fresh, modern Hollywood glamor."
The goal was dramatic eyes and fresh skin, explains Delon via email. "I started by prepping your [complexion] with L'Oréal Paris's Age Perfect Rosy Tone Moisturizer and then applied the Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation for a light finish with medium coverage."
For her eyes, Delon created a soft, smoky look with luscious lashes. "I used neutral, smoky grays, pewter and anthracite eyeshadows to pop her eyes, and L'Oréal Paris' Glide Eyeliner in Charcoal and Voluminous Original Mascara in black for extra expression and depth," he says. "This, paired with a set of lashes, complemented her eye makeup."
On her cheeks, Deleon used the brand's Radiant Satin Blush in Marigold for a subtle peach shimmer. Then he added the Perfect Satin Lipstick in Pink Petal to tie it all together.
On the hair was Jonathan Hanousek, telling Allure: "[The] tuxedo was very structured, so I wanted to create a hairstyle that was feminine with a touch of drama to complement her chic outfit." He started by washing her hair with L'Oréal Paris' Ever Pure Brass-Toning Purple Shampoo. "It counteracts any yellow and really brightens silver hair," he says.
Before Hanousek blew her hair out, she used the brand's Blow Dry It Quick Dry Primer Spray to protect her hair and reduce drying time. "I then applied the Volume Inject Mousse to their roots and ends, which gives them long-lasting body and hold."
After mousse, he used a medium-round brush to style her hair like this. "I started at the back and blew my hair from the nape of my neck to the top," he says. "On her head and sides, I blown the roots forward, then used the round brush to straighten the hair back and up while holding the roots close to the head."
He finished the look with a few spritzes of the drugstore brand's Dream Lengths Air Volume Dry Shampoo and Elnett Satin Hairspray. "It's moisture-proof and lasts all day." Don't say anything more.
