Alleged Car Thief Gets Surprise Of His Life From UFC Fighter Wearing A Fanny Pack

A suspected car thief who picked the wrong vehicle in an attempted robbery at a gas station last week was knocked down by Jordan Williams. And the UFC fighter was wearing a brightly colored belt pouch during the incident.
"That's where the strength and confidence came from," Williams joked to MMA Fighting.
Williams has type 1 diabetes and told the website his blood sugar was low, so he rushed to the gas station / grocery store to buy a drink and left his car running. When Williams spotted someone trying to get away with his 2002 Honda Civic, he ran out of the store.
A few blows later, the suspect ran too.
"At first I couldn't really believe it," Williams told ESPN. "And then I thought, 'Holy shit, there really is someone in my car.'"
“So I run up. The guy backed away and looked at me like, 'This is happening. Got your car. ‘Like no regrets," Williams told Denver Fox's KDVR. "What I will always remember is the look on his face when he looked at me through the window: 'I'll take this."
But Williams wouldn't let that happen.
"I opened the door and it's funny, the first thing I did was toss the things I bought in the passenger seat," the 30-year-old welterweight told ESPN. “And then I hit the guy. After the first blow, he said, 'Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.' I was able to get a couple of knees on him when he got out. "
Williams posted the footage on his Instagram, complete with a #thatfannypacktho hashtag:
"My message to crooks is: don't steal," Williams told KDVR. “Check yourself out in broad daylight. And watch out for this belt pouch. "
In a follow-up post, Williams explained that he uses the belt pouch to carry his insulin and emergency sugar, among other things, and added the hashtag #fannypackgang.
Despite losing two of the recent UFC fights, Williams won that round outside the octagonal bum bag and all.
"Fortunately, I got there in time," he wrote. "And that he didn't know how to release the parking brake."
