Alpha Motor Corporation unveils Ace electric coupe
We are always excited about the new startups that produce interesting and entertaining electric vehicles. Lately it appears that the vast majority of these have been trucks and SUVs. Quietly last week, a company called Alpha Motor Corporation of Irvine, California, introduced something else: the Ace electric coupe.
Hailed by Alpha as an "ideally sized private vehicle with an electrifying soul," the rear-wheel drive Ace sleeps two (with two "compact rear seats for occasional storage"), 14 cubic feet of cargo space, weighs 3,600 pounds and is 165 cm long. Its electric powertrain is suitable for a range of more than 250 miles and a 0-60 time of six seconds, according to Alpha.

This isn't Alpha’s only project. It is also working on a utility vehicle called the Icon, which shares its electric platform. Alpha says that there will be a real introduction to the "EUV" next year.
Not many details are available yet, but Alpha says more variants of the Ace are planned in the coming months. We therefore hope to receive more information soon. Alpha told Autoblog it plans to start shipping vehicles from 2023. From what we see here, this cute little coupe looks like a fun urban runabout. We particularly like the retro design and the minimalist interior. It gives us some classic Volkswagen vibes and is also reminiscent of the European Honda E. We hope that we can actually see these on the go.
