Okay, pack it up, everyone. Alyson Hannigan just won Halloween. When Hannigan called on SiriusXM's EW Live show on October 7th, she found she was using old props from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to decorate her house for the scary season. Why should anyone even bother to top that?
"I got a lot of stuff from Buffy," said Hannigan, who hosts the Food Network's Outrageous Pumpkins Halloween Special, during her call via Entertainment Weekly. “I have a lot of cemetery material. So these are a lot of my Halloween decorations. ""
"I have a lot of Buffy props to help decorate our house for Halloween, which is very cool because our graveyard is really scary. It's pretty awesome."
Basically, the Sunnydale Cemetary, where many vampires and demons kill, now lives in their house. "We all have tombstones that were in our little fake Buffy graveyard," said Hannigan, who was also in "How I Met Your Mother". "It's fun. It's very nice."
However, when Hannigan finds that the show ended nearly 20 years ago, he admits that some of the props look a little worse.
"I have to say some of this is getting really old," she continued. "They gave me the skeletons they actually had in the cave and Master's stuff, and they look really authentic. But boy, are they crumbly now? We have to be super, super careful when we get them out."
Yes, the IRL pasture has Sunnydale Cemetary and the master's hiding place in their IRL house, just for fun.
And don't forget, if it's in Hannigan's house, it also means it's in her husband, Alexis Denisof's house, who played Wesley Wyndam-Price in Buffy and his spin-off Angel.
Not being that person, just thinking about how much Hannigan could get for these things. Any Buffy fan would take a wooden stake to have just one of these props. But it seems like Hannigan values them, and it has become a tradition each year to bring out the Buffy tombstones and skeletons for Halloween each year.
For someone who loves Halloween as much as Hannigan does, these spooky props are in the right place.
Um, are we too old to trick or treating at Alyson Hannigan?
