An attorney representing Gabby Petito's fiancé Brian Laundrie and his parents tells Insider: 'May Gabby Rest In Peace'

Steven Bertolino, the attorney who represents Brian Laundrie and his parents, told Insider, "May Gabby rest in peace."
He sent the statement following news that human remains found were identified as missing 22-year-old Gabby Petito and that her manner of death was classified as murder, the FBI said Tuesday.
On Sunday, authorities discovered human remains near Grand Teton National Park that they believed belonged to Petito because it "matched their description".
Early Tuesday, the Petito family attorney confirmed to insider Natalie Musumeci that the body found in Wyoming National Park had been identified as Petito. The FBI's Denver office later confirmed on Twitter that the remains were Petitos, adding that the "initial decision made by Teton County's coroner, Dr. Brent Blue, For The Way Death Is Murder ”.
"The cause of death remains until the final result of the autopsy," said a statement from the authority.
Last week police named Petito's fiancée Laundrie a "person of interest" in her disappearance. Days later, the Laundrie family lawyer announced that he was also missing after hiking in the Carlton Reserve in Florida and not returning.
"Please note that Brian Laundrie's whereabouts are currently unknown," Bertolino told local media last week.
Petito and Laundrie went on a cross-country trip earlier this year, which was documented on YouTube. Her mother reported her missing on September 11th after Laundrie returned to Florida alone.
