The “Maleficent” star chose a simple and chic outfit to visit the French artist JR after she and her children left the city's Cipriani Hotel. Jolie wore a draped gray kaftan over a long black dress. The tassel hem and the wide sleeves of the caftan made the piece elegant and cozy. Jolie combined the clothes with classic and eclectic accessories, including a black face mask, gold bracelets and rings, diamond stud earrings and a black Saint Laurent shoulder bag.

Jolie chose a versatile pair of brown leather mules from Dolce & Gabbana for her trip to the Floating City. The shoes had short block heels and wide toe straps embossed with the “DG” logo of the Italian label. The cut-out shape of the logo allows for better ventilation - a must in the warm summer months. Jolie's mules are available for $ 595 on Farfetch.com.

Mules are one of the most popular shoes this summer due to their roots in '90s and early 2000s fashion and ease of putting on and taking off. Jolie's Dolce & Gabbana pair is a more modern take on the style, though the edgy silhouettes of the open toe sandals have gone viral in recent months. Stars like Rihanna, Karlie Kloss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have also caught the eye and have included the shoe from top brands such as Bottega Veneta, Versace and The Attico in their wardrobes.
