Arrest made in sucker-punch incident involving Eagles' Dallas Goedert
Police have arrested a man for simple assault related to a bar brawl involving Dallas Goedert from the Philadelphia Eagles, as first reported by NJ.com.
At the weekend, a Goedert vacuum cleaner struck a bar in South Dakota. A security video appears to show the NFL player being blinded by a man in the face.
Police from Aberdeen, South Dakota, arrested 29-year-old Kyle Douglas Hadala, who lives in Sarasota, Florida, for the alleged attack. The incident did not cause Goedert serious physical harm, so the charge was considered a simple attack, according to the Brown County prosecutor.
Goedert was taken to the nearby Avera St. Lukes Hospital, where he was reportedly treated and released.
Goedert enters the third season with the Eagles. He is from Britton, South Dakota, about an hour from Aberdeen. He played his college ball in the state of South Dakota, where he was twice a member of the FCS All-America First Team.
Goedert caught 58 passes for 607 yards and five touchdowns for the Eagles in 2019.
