‘Avengers: Endgame’ Almost Had a ‘WandaVision’ Post-Credits Scene, Says Paul Bettany
"Avengers: Endgame" almost had a post-credits scene that, according to Paul Bettany, the actor on "The Vision", would have created the "WandaVision" from Disney +.
"At some point I was in a day where you opened some kind of body bag drawer and there was the vision," Bettany told Wandavision's Elizabeth Olsen co-star in a video of IMDb's "Ask Each Other Anything". "(Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios) kind of talked to me and said," I have to be in charge. "I said," Ugh! "Because I really wanted that profit-sharing."
Bettany goes on to explain that he thought Feige would fire him when he was called into his office. "And if the boss calls you and your contract is up and he called you into the office, you know exactly what it is about. And I thought I was going to be thrown out of the case," Bettany added.

However, Bettany was a good sport and didn't know he was called into the meeting to do the "WandaVision" show.
“I went in and didn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable, so I said, 'Look, it was a great run and I love you guys and not hard feelings. 'And they said,' Wait, are you going to stop? ' And I said, "No, won't you fire me?" and they said, "No," and I said, "Oh yeah, I'm in," Bettany joked.
For Feige, “WandaVision” enables him to scratch a certain itch that the 24-film “Infinity Saga” could not achieve: episodic television. "Everything that influenced me as a kid, as a fan and as a viewer has gone into everything I've worked on," said Feige. "Part of it that I couldn't do was an obsession with television, episodic television, and sitcoms as a kid."
Olsen's Wanda Maximoff made her debut on Avengers: Age of Ultron, as did Bettany's Vision (although Bettany was with the MCU from the start and Tony Stark's AI, JARVIS despite the two's weird but cute romance, which is much more detailed in the comics When played, their storyline was often pushed into the background except when needed for an emotional blow. "Wanda and Vision are a very unique couple who have gone through more trauma and change than any of the other characters in our films," Feige said recently to Tim Baysinger from TheWrap.
Therefore, when Feige wanted to find out where the MCU was going after Avengers: Endgame, he couldn't help but stare at some of the couple's classic comic book covers depicting their tumultuous relationship. "These sat on my desk for a long time as I was wondering what was coming next," he said, adding that he often viewed television as a "calming" factor while watching the emotionally heavy "Infinity War" and "Endgame." .
