Hunziker had posted a meme that showed a naked black woman in chains. A source near Bravo told Variety that the network had learned of the post on Friday and had dismissed Hunziker immediately.
Hunziker's dismissal took place a week after Bravo fired four "Vanderpump Rules" actors, including the original stars Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, for racist acts.
In this season of "Below Deck Mediterranean", which premiered on June 1, Hunziker - self-proclaimed "Party Pete" - was already accused of sexism. He called Bosun Malia White, an experienced crew member, "Treasure" more than once and was insulted by ship captain Sandy Yawn.
Bravo doesn't seem to show tolerance for racism in his shows. However, the network has still not answered whether this applies to Jax Taylor from "Vanderpump Rules". Taylor had accused Faith Tower's crimes on social media, which led to Schroeder and Doute's layoffs.
A representative from Bravo had no comment on Taylor or the future of "Vanderpump Rules".
