President Biden's rented Secret Service vehicles burst into flames in a parking lot on Monday, just a day after he left his Nantucket vacation.
Biden spent Thanksgiving last week with his family on the posh island of Massachusetts. The Secret Service rented five vehicles from Hertz to transport the president and his family, and all five caught fire in the parking lot, according to footage first obtained by Nantucket Current.
Footage shows firefighters spraying down the smoldering remains of a vehicle's engine block. The five vehicles included a Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX80, Ford Expedition and a Jeep Gladiator.

The vehicles were parked at the Nantucket airport and the fire reportedly spread to just 40 feet from the facility's kerosene tanks. What caused the fire is not known at this time. Fox News asked the White House for information, but they didn't immediately respond.

Biden spent the weekend in Nantucket celebrating the holidays with his family and told reporters they had no discussions about a possible 2024 presidential nomination.
The Bidens stayed on a waterfront compound along Nantucket Harbor. Family members on the trip included Ashley and Hunter Biden. The family has a tradition of spending Thanksgiving on the island for more than 40 years.
The getaway marked the first vacation for the Biden family since they traveled to another remote East Coast island in August, when the President, First Lady and Hunter Biden all flew on Air Force One to Kiawah Island in South Carolina.

Trips around important holidays and in late summer are not uncommon for US Presidents. Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump have all taken similar vacations during their presidencies. Bush often spent time at his Texas ranch, while Obama and Trump both preferred golf resorts in New England.
