Big Brother Renewed for Season 23

Whoever wins the Big Brother grand prize on Wednesday won't be the final champion of the show as CBS's reality contest has been extended for season 23.
Julie Chen Moonves will be back to host the series, where contestants will be monitored 24/7 to avoid an eviction and to win the $ 500,000 prize. Although season 22 has been slightly delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, CBS is currently planning a regular summer start for the show's next cycle.
"At Big Brother, we always say 'expect the unexpected', but 2020 has been our biggest challenge yet!" said Mitch Graham, senior vice president of alternative programming at CBS. “We couldn't be more proud of the entire team, which had a fantastic season under such extreme circumstances. It feels fitting that this unprecedented season will end with an announcement of the show's return next summer. "
Big Brother's renewal comes just hours before Season 22 - the second (and often criticized) All-Stars installment in the series. Only Cody Calafiore, Nicole Franzel and Enzo Palumbo are still fighting for the main prize. In a recent poll, 72 percent of TVLine readers predicted that Cody will win the game, while 66 percent also said Cody should win.
TVLine's brand new 2021 Renewal Scorecard has been updated with the good news from Big Brother. The two-hour finale of season 22 airs tonight at 9 / 8c on CBS.
