Bindi Irwin Shares Her First (Extremely Adorable) Bump Photo
Bindi Irwin is well on the way to becoming our favorite celebrity mom
While 2020 was a tough, stressful year for pretty much everyone, Bindi Irwin actually celebrated some amazing milestones: She married her longtime boyfriend Chandler Powell in an intimate family ceremony just as the pandemic started, and just a few months later the couple gave up announced that they are expecting their first baby.
Ever since Bindi made the announcement in her first trimester, she's been very open to asking her fans to be a part of her journey to mom. Because of this, she was very open online and just shared enough updates about her pregnancy on a regular basis to satisfy our desire to keep up with what's going on with the late Steve Irwin's first grandchild. That includes the first photo Bindi posted with a baby bump visible that popped up on her Instagram over the weekend.
Posing at home in a black tank top showing off her tiny but perfectly adorable bump, Bindi stuck to the trend she uses every time she posts a photo of her pregnancy: she told us how the size of her growing was little girl versus one is animal. This time, she wrote in the caption, her baby is the size of a mountain pygmy possum. I don't know what that is, but we know that there is no way it's going to be as cute as this baby is going to be.
In her caption, Bindi also revealed that her little girl appears to be strong and healthy so far.
"Baby girl is fine," she wrote. "Every time we get an ultrasound, she's incredibly energetic and always moving."
And of course, cute dad Chandler Powell quickly jumped into the comments to share some love for his wife and their little girl.
Bindi and Chandler tied the knot earlier this year when they had a small wedding with only close family members, hours before Australia's pandemic lockdown would have prevented a ceremony.
In August, they made the happy announcement that they were expecting their first baby, made a zoo-themed reveal with a tiny Australia Zoo uniform and announced that "Baby Wildlife Warrior" was coming in 2021.
Since the announcement, they have continued to keep their fans updated on their baby's growth and even announced that they are expecting a little girl with another wildlife-themed photo shoot, this time with a giant tortoise that lives in the Australia Zoo.
One thing is already certain: Bindi and Chandler will make wonderful parents, and the world can't wait to join them every step of the way on this new journey.
