A boat crashed into rocks off Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay, stranding two people and three dogs, California firefighters reported.
The San Francisco Fire Department and a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter rescued the people and dogs from the ship after the mishap at 9:55 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, fire officials said on Twitter.
The crash left the boat "hard on the rocks" but did not sink, firefighters reported.

About an hour later, firefighters said the man and woman on board were safe, along with the dogs, and that they were working with the owner on plans to salvage the boat.
Nobody was injured in the accident.
