Bob Saget's wife and friends John Mayer, Jimmy Kimmel pay emotional tribute to late star: 'Incredible man'

"Full House" star Bob Saget was honored by celebrity friends Wednesday at a charity event dear to the late comedian's heart.
Hosted by the Scleroderma Research Foundation - a non-profit organization that funds research to find a cure - the star-studded guest list included John Mayer, Rosie O'Donnell, Jimmy Kimmell, Joel McHale and others. Full House alumni John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin were also in attendance.
Saget had spearheaded the annual event for 30 years.
His wife Kelly Rizzo got emotional while speaking to Fox News Digital about her late husband and revealed she had big shoes to fill in meeting Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine.
"I couldn't imagine not being involved in this again in the future. It was so important to him. It meant everything to him," Rizzo told Fox News Digital exclusively.
"After he died... I had to find a way that I could still be involved. I felt him say to me... 'You book the comedians, that was my job. Now that's your job.'”
Saget died on January 9, 2022 at the age of 65. He was found unresponsive in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida.
Rizzo took a moment to interrupt the interview with Fox News Digital and briefly burst into tears as she remembered her late husband.
"He was the deepest, most sensitive, most caring, most incredible man that ... anyone could have ever known and that this was his greatest passion, besides his family of course," she continued.

"All he wanted to do was share his message of love and laughter... so we're going to move on with that."
Reflecting on his nearly 20-year friendship with Saget, musician John Mayer said he's always been an incredible person throughout his life.

"Dinner after dinner, experience after experience ... we stayed in such close contact that we just lived our lives together," Mayer told Fox News Digital exclusively.

"It's a very, very heavy loss when you've been living your life with someone and they disappear."
Late night show host Jimmy Kimmel added that it was important to keep the tradition of the "meaningful" event honoring the late comedian alive.

"I know it will be very important to him to keep this going and to keep fighting's truly an honor and a pleasure to be here," Kimmel shared with Fox News Digital.
"Everybody's here because they love Bob... Bob had a very interesting group of friends. I was one of them," he concluded.
"It's nice to be able to come together in the same way that we did when he was with us."
