"While we await the extent of his injuries, he has been alert and responsive," the statement said. "The Garrett family would like to thank the medical staff who removed Myles and his passenger from the vehicle and transported them safely to the hospital."
Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland reported that Garrett had an accident in his Porsche around 3 p.m. ET while driving home from training. Citing Ohio State Highway Patrol officers, Justice reported that the car swerved off the right side of the road and rolled over several times before stopping. According to police, there was a passenger in the car.

Both Garrett and his passenger were buckled, according to the report. They were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash was initially unclear, but according to the OSHP, neither drugs nor alcohol played a role. Traffic fees are pending.
There was no further information about the injuries. Garrett's status for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons was initially unclear.
Garrett, a three-time All-Pro, anchors Cleveland's defense and has posted double-digit sack counts in each of the past four seasons. He's lost three sacks and four tackles this season as the Browns started 2-1.
