Buffalo Suspect Payton Gendron Wrote He Felt Nothing After Stabbing And Beheading Cat

Buffalo, New York, shooting suspect Payton Gendron showed his inhumanity to animals before his alleged racist attack on supermarket shoppers.
Gendron, who is accused of killing 10 people at a business he targeted because it served a black neighborhood, wrote in March that he stabbed and beheaded a feral cat, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.
In a diary-like entry that appears to have originated on messaging platform Discord, Gendron said he saw the stray attacking his family's cat in the garage and repeatedly stabbing the animal. He wrote that he banged his skull against concrete and chopped off his head with a hatchet. He shared a photo of the body, decapitated and bloodied.
"I called my mom and she gave me a box and I dug a shallow grave in the backyard," he wrote on March 25, according to the newspaper. "Honestly, I don't feel anything about killing that cat right now. I thought I was in pain but I literally just feel empty.”

The New York Post provided more grisly details of Gendron's entrance, in which he recalled swinging the cat by its tail to gain more power against the hard surface, and it took 20 strokes of his hatchet to sever its head . He also posted a photo of his own blood-splattered face afterwards.
Gendron, a self-confessed white supremacist, has pleaded not guilty to the murder. In other diary entries, he expressed fear that his parents would discover his mass shooting plans.
"My parents know little about me," he wrote in a Feb. 22 note reported by The Washington Post. "You don't know about the hundreds of ounces of silver I had or the hundreds of dollars I spent on ammunition. They don't know that I spent close to $1000 on random military stuff. They don't even know I own a shotgun or an AR-15 or illegal magazines."
