Cardi B Defends Her Estranged Husband Offset Amid Divorce Drama
Amid her very public breakup with Offset, Cardi B took to the streets putting her role as a mother first before it became a relationship drama. Despite the Migos rapper's infidelity pattern, a now-deleted tweet of the W.A.P. The artist made it clear that she will never tolerate negative comments from fans about her ex-husband, as he is still the father of her four-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari.
While fans were quick to criticize Offset, Cardi B made her position on negativity clear. The deleted tweet recorded by People documented the singer's tweets. "I don't give a f *** if you don't like him," she replied to a comment on Twitter. "I'm not talking to him, but you won't disrespect my little father," Cardi continued. “I will hit you on everyone's lips from Kulture. "If he dies, you go broke, you are not the one to raise my child and you are not the one to pay for them," concluded the Boak Yellow singer.
The couple officially filed for divorce in September. At the time, Cardi stated that their marriage was "irretrievably broken". And this was the last straw for her when she realized that "there is no prospect of reconciliation".
In an interview for ELLE's September 2020 edition, Cardi said her relationship with Offset was "very dramatic". After the couple reunited in early 2019 and separated the year before, the young mother stated that her decision was "a personal matter" and that sharing a child made things more nuanced than they appeared on the surface.
"It's just like that - doing things perfectly ... it takes time," she told People at the time. “You know, F *** and hanging out doesn't mean you're like a perfect touch, it takes time. It takes time.
