On Friday, the 35-year-old Bachelor in Paradise alum shared an open post on Instagram in which she revealed that this year's Christmas party felt "incredibly abnormal" after breaking up with her three-year-old husband.
Waddell published a long caption about her "new normal" this vacation along with a picture of her cuddling her two children Charles "Charlie" Wolf (1) and Isabella "Bella" Evelyn (2), who they both with Bass ( 38) shares.
"Merry Christmas? Christmas Day is not what I left out this year. The three of us. The new normal. That feels incredibly abnormal and actually very sad," Waddell wrote.
"A lot of you kind people have asked if I am fine. And I want to say I am, but I am not," she shared. "I will be."

Earlier this week, Waddell and Bass, who met for Bachelor in Paradise in 2016, announced their split in a joint statement, PEOPLE said.
"We made the difficult decision to split up," said the exes. "We will always cherish our time together and continue to have the greatest respect for one another as we focus on what is best for our family's future. We greatly appreciate the love and support of everyone, and we ask you to enjoy our family's privacy respect navigate through this. "
The split came as a shock to the longtime couple's fans, who appeared to be defying the chances of traditional bachelor romances, despite being largely absent from each other's social media accounts for the past few weeks.

When they first met on the beach when they were shooting Paradise, Bass (who fought for JoJo Fletcher's heart on The Bachelorette) and Waddell (from Chris Soules' season The Bachelor) seemed like an unlikely duo.
Eventually the couple fell hard and Bass suggested for the show's third season finale.

Waddell added, "It's been a long journey for me in Bachelor Nation, but I would do it a thousand times again. Because the next part will be bliss."
