Carnival Cruise Line cancels Florida, Australia trips
MIAMI (AP) - Carnival Cruise Line announced Monday that the remaining cruises scheduled for November from two Florida ports and five cruises from Australia will be canceled early next year.
The cruise line previously announced that it would cancel all U.S. cruises, except those departing from Port Canaveral and Port Miami, for the remainder of the year after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control extended an order without a sail to October 31. But Monday's announcement made no voyages in November on the six ships that ply from the two Florida ports.
Cruises are still planned from the two ports in Florida for December.
"Carnival continues to work on protocols and procedures to allow cruise operations to resume, with a phased, phased approach that designates Miami and Port Canaveral as the first two home ports for embarkation," said a cruise line statement.
The cruise line announced to guests that five Carnival Splendor cruises from Sydney, Australia this coming January and February have been canceled.
