Carrie Underwood Joins Cover Band Onstage At Nashville Bar
The country singer surprised fans at Fox & Locke in Nashville with an impromptu performance.
Carrie Underwood made an unexpected appearance at a Nashville bar over the weekend.
The 39-year-old country singer interrupted her girls' night out to hop onstage with Tom Petty cover band The Heartshakers at the Fox & Locke Bar and Venue in Nashville, where they performed the musician's 1981 duet with Stevie Nicks: "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around."
A video of the performance was shared on Fox & Locke's official Instagram account on Sunday, along with the caption: "Last night the only @carrieunderwood was here and jumped on stage with @theheartshakers to rock the house with a classic !!
"Like we always say — you never know who might show up here," the caption continued. "Thanks for stopping by, Carrie. What an incredible Saturday night!”

Of course, in the comments, fans couldn't help but swoon over Underwood's impromptu performance, with one user writing, "This is freaking awesome!! I love the song and she does it so well!!"
Another person chimed in: "So cool to see. We as fans sometimes seem to forget that even though she's famous, she's still human like the rest of us and just likes to have a good time. Thank you for supporting the music scene.”
The "Ghost Story" singer shared her own Instagram post from the night, in which Underwood posed alongside some of her friends.
"Girls night out! Okay the boys were there too but we did our best to pretend they weren't!" she cheekily wrote in the caption. "I'm so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing ladies! ❤️ guys!!!”
Following the release of their latest album, Denim & Strass, in June, Underwood's fans are currently preparing for the Denim & Strass Tour, set to begin this fall.
