Chase Elliott: ‘I just need to get through lap traffic better’

Two weeks ago, Elliott and Logano ran for victory at Bristol Motor Speedway. Elliott drove it deep into the corner and contacted Logano, causing the two to collapse. Brad Keselowski won.
After the race, Logano spoke to Elliott and was further upset by Elliott's reaction.
"I had to force an apology that is childish to me," Logano told FS1 after this race.
Later on Instagram, Logano said Elliott had told him, "You have done it before."
When Elliott approached the race late Sunday, Logano drove him hard.
When asked how he saw what Logano did, Elliott said, "I just have to get through the roundabout better."
Hamlin was asked what he saw between Elliott and Logano.
"I'm sure Joey probably drove him pretty hard there. I think most people would do this given the situation in Bristol. You almost have to expect it as a driver.
"I don't think it cost Chase the win. We had already run him down. Yes, we were in the middle of fighting him, but I don't think it cost him the race. I don't know. Maybe, maybe not, it's all speculative.
"The way I saw it (Logano) was very generous to me. That is everything I know. I really appreciated that. I don't think he hit Chase really hard. He just didn't leave Chase clear. I don't know if he fought right there to stay on the lead. Looked like two below.
"He just didn't make Chase clear. If Chase could have cleared him up ... I don't think he really stopped him, he just didn't give him the place."
Only the three best drivers have to speak to the media after the race. Logano turned 27 and did not have to speak to the media.
