The giant wing Chevy Corvette C8 pictured here, captured by our spy photographer, could be the next Z06 to focus on the track.
The Vette has a huge wing and an apparently offset tire setup.
The 2022 Corvette Z06 is expected to be available in early 2021.
Now that the mid-engine Corvette C8 is on the market, it's time to think about the Z06 version. If you have a picture in your mind, forget it as you look at these spy photos of the possibly more powerful Corvette, adorned with a wing resembling a bird of prey that is ready to pounce on a victim.

While the 2022 Z06 C8 to be unveiled is said to have active aerodynamics, the size of the wing is a little surprise. Aerodynamics are expected to be improved throughout the vehicle. Larger air blades and flared fenders generate as much downforce as possible to keep the vehicle and its new engine on the ground.
The track-oriented Corvette with rear-wheel drive is said to have a 5.5-liter V-8 with a naturally aspirated engine and a flat crank, which enables a speed between 8500 and 9000 rpm. It is expected to deliver 600 horsepower and has a boom that matches the super sports cars it will compete against.
In addition to the Falcon-in-Flight wing design and the special motor, the upcoming Z06 Vette receives improvements to the suspension, a reinforced structure and stronger brakes. While most of it is hidden, on the heavily camouflaged and draped Corvette we can see an offset tire setup with Michelin Sport Cup 2R 20-inch tires at the front and apparently wider tires at the rear. The camouflage also appears to have a fuel filler flap cutout on the passenger side. Since the C8's fuel filler flap is on the driver's side, this could be one of the upcoming hybrids, but this flap could be required for the camouflage paint to attach to the car.

The 2022 Z06 is expected to go on sale in early 2021 if you want to cover the route in a Corvette. If these spy photos are evidence of this, it will be much more aggressive than the mainstream C8.
