Chip Gaines Tries to Make His Kids Laugh by Cracking Dad Jokes in Hilarious Father's Day Video

Chip Gaines is a big fan of dad jokes - but are his kids?
In an exclusive Father's Day video shared with PEOPLE, the Fixer Upper Alaun 45 sits down with his children - the sons Duke (12), Drake (15) and Crew, who will be two on Sunday, and the daughters Emmie Kay (10) and Ella Rose, 13 - to get their honest opinion on a number of fan-submitted jokes.
"Dad's jokes get a bad end," Chip says at the beginning of the video. "I appreciate dad jokes as much as the next dad, and I've brought my crew of experienced dad joke reviewers to see what's funny and what's not."
While Chip seems to be entertained by all of the comedic material, his kids are a little harder to impress.
"If a cow doesn't produce milk, is it a milk buddy or udder failure?" he says and smiles. Although Ms. Joanna shouts from outside the screen, "I like this", none of her children seem to agree.

Fortunately, the kids are not always that tough!
"Did you hear the forecast? Cool today, hot tamale, ”he jokes as all four of the youngsters laughed, while another joke also brought a smile to the couple's youngest son, Crew, who was sitting on his mother's lap.
But when it was time to make a joke, Chip was already aware that his children were already seeing the punch line from a mile away. "This is my joke," he tells his children. "If you're Russian when you go to the bathroom and Finnish when you come out, what were you when you were in the bathroom?"
Without missing a beat, one of his children shouts: "Europeans".
"You are nice, these are not easy to find," Chip adds.

In the past few months, the family has distanced themselves socially on their farm in Waco, Texas.
Joanna, 42, recently shared how they entertained her children and said that like many parents, they needed to get creative.
"Every day I will lay out cards, puzzles just to give them options," the magnolia mogul said in a recent interview on the Today show. "I think originally the kids - especially the boys - thought, 'Oh, this is going to be wonderful, we get hours and hours of play.' And I'm kind of a strict mother when it comes to it. When I give them ideas outside of screen time and the like, I had to face them. "

Even though their children are still grown up, they are already following in their parents' footsteps.
“I noticed that they like to be on the other side of the camera - with the exception of the crew. He doesn't know anything about this world yet, "Joanna told PEOPLE in April, noting that Ella" is still very interested in design while "Drake loves the production side."
"Emmie, she reminds me a lot of me [when it comes to] gardening and cooking. I think that's where we both connect the most," she continued. "And Duke, I can see he's a businessman."
