Chrishell Stause Responds to Criticism Over Her Family's Holiday Gathering amid COVID-19 Pandemic
Chrishell Stause is responding to criticism she received after sharing photos from her family vacation with boyfriend Keo Motsepe.
On Saturday, the 39-year-old Selling Sunset star shared a post on Instagram in which he told her followers that she had brought 31-year-old Motsepe home for the holidays to introduce him to her family. She later adapted her caption to the comments she received from fans criticizing her for traveling amid the coronavirus pandemic and gathering in a group of nine.
"For those who raise concerns about Covid, I understand and agree that this has not been a good use of my platform. I usually always try to be socially responsible with my posts because of course I am a compassionate person. I can see that this does not show that to some, "wrote Stause.
"I understand you disagree, but at least you can see where I'm from. This is my immediate family and we can all test before and after," she added. "This is the first Christmas without our mother. We felt important to be there for each other in a difficult year."

Stause concluded, "Keo brought such welcome happiness and selfish that I posted in a very happy moment. Please be safe and I send all my love to my supporters and critics. I hear you all and can get feedback from both sides estimate."
When the reality star first shared the post on social media, she excitedly told followers that her Dancing with the Stars pro boyfriend "fits right in".
"We introduced @keo_motsepe to the family. He fits exactly ????", wrote Stause next to two photos, one of which showed the couple posing with their family. "Merry Christmas to all of you from me to you !!! Are you all sending so much love?"
Motsepe also documented the festive occasion on social media and shared photos of the couple with matching onesies on the topic of vacation. "Merry Christmas everyone ??? lots of love #metthefamily?", Motsepe captioned his own post.
Stause and Motsepe went public with their romance on December 3rd, not long after making it official behind the scenes. Motsepe shared a photo of himself kissing Stause on the cheek, which she reposted on her Instagram story.

Shortly thereafter, she opened the relationship during an Instagram Live with Kaitlyn Bristowe, who won Season 29 of DWTS last month.
"I'm grateful. I had the best experience [on DWTS], but that's the coolest thing for me. I knew from my dance work that I wouldn't win a Mirrorball from the start. I'm just very excited," said Stause, who was eliminated from the competition show after eight weeks.
