Cinemas Ban Groups Watching 'Minions: The Rise of Gru' in Formal Attire

Immediately after the release of Minions: The Rise of Gru, teenagers started an interesting trend on social media. The "#gentleminions" trend is seeing groups of teens in suits posting on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter how they watched the latest movie in the Despicable Me series.
The viral trend, centered around an ironic love of the franchise, has now forced some cinemas in the UK to ban groups of patrons in formal attire from watching the film. In other parts of the world, movie theaters have left viewers expecting disruptive behavior.
Clips on social media have now garnered millions of views and the trend appears to be increasing as Minions: The Rise of Gru continues to dominate the box office. It's unclear if the ban will be adopted by cinemas worldwide.
