CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta: 'We Are Right Back To Square One' On Flattening The Curve

CNN's chief correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta warned on Monday that "we'll be back in first place" because some parts of the US are seeing a flattening of the Coronavirus curve.
In the CNN Tonight broadcast on Monday, Gupta Don Lemon complained that since March, the discussion of how to fight the pandemic in the 23 states where there are more and more new infections has not continued.
"I'm particularly worried about Florida," said Gupta.
"My parents live in Florida. In this state, 20% of the population is over 65," he said. "We know that the virus, there is a vulnerable population, the elderly, have existing diseases. 75% of the beds in the intensive care unit are already occupied in Florida. "
"We kept talking about smoothing the curve so as not to tax the hospital system," added Gupta. “In terms of this discussion, we're back in first place, which flattens the curve. That was March. We should have a new discussion about bringing this to almost zero. Instead, we're talking about how we can prevent hospitals from blushing again. "
