Cobra Kai announces new (earlier!) season 3 premiere date

Back in October, Netflix Cobra Kai fans were teasing a third season premiere date: Friday, January 8, 2021. But then something strange happened: The 8 disappeared and suddenly it became ... "Coming in January", as we did in the first full trailer of season 3.
Get ready for some good news: We finally have another premiere date - and it's even earlier! Thanks to Internet expert Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), the third season of Cobra Kai will now premiere on Friday, January 1st. This means we can all spend our New Years Day the way God and Sensei Lawrence intended: on the couch, watching TV.
This season on Cobra Kai, viewers can expect appearances by two fan favorites from the Karate Kid universe: When Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) travels to Japan on business, he crosses Tomita with his Karate Kid Part II love interest Kumiko (Tamlyn) ) and its sequel Nemesis, Chozen (Yuji Okumoto). Macchio told EW, "This Okinawa experience informs him that he can do better - not just because of the rivalry with Johnny Lawrence, but how he can get ahead in all aspects of his life."
