Coinbase VP of Business and Data Will Leave Over Mission Statement

Coinbase's vice president of business and data is leaving for his new "apolitical" mission.
Dan Yoo stated in a LinkedIn post that he was leaving due to the October 7 deadline to express interest in a severance package for employees who are not satisfied with CEO Brian Armstrong's recent blog post.
Yoo said he will stay with the company until the end of the year if necessary to help make his transition out of the company.
On Thursday morning in California, Armstrong sent a memo to employees informing them that 60 employees - or 5% of the company's workforce - had accepted the severance package. He later published a blog post about it.
A Coinbase spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment.
