Conor McGregor ‘all good’ with Machine Gun Kelly after scuffle: ‘Come watch me perform any time’
Conor McGregor continues to deny that he left after an altercation during the red carpet on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Originally a mother on the subject, McGregor set out his thoughts on Monday outside his New York hotel. While it's still unclear what exactly sparked the altercation, McGregor stated that as things stand, he doesn't dislike the turned-rocker rapper.
"I'll tell you what happened," McGregor told Adam’s Apple. “I'll tell you what it is. I'm free here in New York City, you see what I mean? I'm back in New York. I have to go to the Barclays Center. I have to present an award. I just wanted to have a good time, do you see what I mean? That's it. All the best. Everything is good. Come to the next fight. Come and watch me anytime. I perform, no problem. Everyone is very welcome to come to my fights, to the shows. "

McGregor reiterated that he had no prior relationship with MGK, despite being familiar with the musician's partner, actress and model Megan Fox. Both MGK and Fox attend UFC events frequently, including McGregor's loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July.
"(There is) no beef," said McGregor. “I don't even know the guy. I don't even know him. Who is he? You tell me he was in the fights. Megan has been in the fights (for) years. Megan has been in the fights (for) years. I know Megan. I don't know the guy. There's no problem. Come to the fights. There's no problem."
McGregor is currently undergoing rehabilitation from surgery to mend a broken leg he sustained in the Poirier trilogy fight. He is back on his feet despite using a stick to move around during his VMA presentation on Sunday. There is no clear timetable for his return.
As for MGK, the 31-year-old won “Best Alternative Video” at the VMAs 2021 - that was the second year in a row that he took the award home with him. Kelly's debut rock album “Tickets to My Downfall” reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 in October 2020. Together with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, he is expected to release their second album “Born with Horns” in 2021.
