Conor McGregor goes after Khabib over comments on deleted tweets: ‘Keep my name out of your mouth’
It wasn't long before Conor McGregor responded to Khabib Nurmagomedov's recent comments on the Irishman's controversial tweets.
The former UFC two-division champion went on Twitter Thursday to warn Nurmagomedov not to mention his name again. Nurmagomedov, who defeated McGregor in history's best-selling UFC pay-per-view at UFC 229, called McGregor a "dirty" person and questioned his character after McGregor shot Nurmagomedov's father Abdulmanap and made him "nasty" and COVID. called -19 "good" after he died of complications from the virus in July 2020.
In a quote tweet for the clip from the "Hotboxin 'with Mike Tyson" podcast, McGregor sent a warning to his former rival.

The rivalry between Nurmagomedov and McGregor dates back to the build-up of their UFC 229 lightweight title fight in October 2018, which "The Eagle" won by submitting in the fourth round. It is one of the most personal feuds in martial arts history.
Nurmagomedov retired undefeated in October 2020 after defending his title against Justin Gaethje. Although Nurmagomedov was arguably the best fighter in the world and one of the biggest names in martial arts, he left the sport after promising his mother not to continue his fighting career without his father by his side.
McGregor last fought in July and suffered a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier, thereby losing the trilogy between the two. McGregor is currently recovering from a broken leg injury in combat that resulted in the TKO being abandoned after the first round.
