Costco Just Made These Two Major Changes to Its Store Services

Two major changes from Costco will change the way you shop this year. All Costco Photo Centers will be permanently closed on February 14th and there is now a roadside pickup at several locations in the southwest, the grocery chain recently announced.
In December, CEO Craig Jelinek said it was still important to get customers to physically purchase in-store, although the store's capacity and other security measures are currently limited due to the coronavirus pandemic. He said the business’s emphasis on its stationary locations is not waning. New Mexico members can now try Costco roadside pickup with a $ 10 fee and a minimum order of $ 100 through Instacart, but cannot refill ink or take passport photos during a trip to the store. (Not sure what to order? Here are the 7 healthiest foods you should be eating right now.)
Services that Photo Center is known for such as printing, enlarging, greeting cards, canvas prints, photo books, calendars and blankets, and business print products can still be ordered online and delivered to your home at CostcoPhotoCenter.com. The home movie broadcast service will continue to be available on CostcoDVD.com.
To benefit from Costco's "easy and convenient" roadside contactless service, customers in Albuquerque can select their groceries on the website and choose same-day delivery and then pick-up. All fresh and non-food items can be ordered, which corresponds to a total of around 2,000 items. Customers will then receive a text when their order is ready and there is a one hour pickup window. A Costco employee loads the car in a designated parking lot on the side of the road.
There has been no news yet of whether roadside pickup will be available at other locations. However, currently Costco offers same day delivery of perishable foods like meat, produce, and seafood in some zip codes, including through Instacart. Other non-perishable items can be shipped within 2 days nationwide, except in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
