Costco senior hours update: Some clubs have varying special hours for seniors, most vulnerable amid COVID-19
The Costco Wholesale Club continues its special hours of operation for members 60 and older and at-risk shoppers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In most clubs, the designated hour for senior shoppers, members with disabilities, or the immunocompromised is 9-10am, Monday through Friday.
However, according to Costco's COVID-19 update page, which lists the changes and other policy changes, some locations have different hours of operation. (See below.)

In early December, Costco's list of different business hours included a few stores in Arizona, Virginia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and New Mexico. As of Thursday, however, the updated list will be shorter and will no longer contain stores in these states.

The designated hour, which began on March 24th as a twice-weekly event, was quickly extended to three times a week. When the clubs resumed normal opening hours in early May, the clubs extended senior hours to weekday mornings at most locations.
"Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, Costco will maintain the current special operating hours until further notice," says its website, on which guests note that guests will be "not admitted" during this time.
Costco originally announced plans for the summer to reduce the extra hours in July, but didn't cut the hours as cases rose.
The member club made several changes due to the pandemic and was one of the first retailers to require buyers to wear masks. Last month, Costco updated the policy to no longer have exemptions for people who say they cannot wear face covering due to an illness.
According to the new policy, which began on November 16, all members, guests and staff must wear a face mask or face shield to shop at the nearly 560 clubs across the country. Children under the age of 2 will continue to be exempt from wearing face-covering according to the updated policy.
