Courteney Cox caused a sensation on her 56th birthday.
The former Friends star, whose birthday is June 15, started her year with a clip of herself in a Baywatch-style bikini, while the New Radicals song “You Get What You Give” plays in the background. She dived into a body of water and came up smiling. She titled it "Gracefully Diving in this next year" and then added the hashtag #oaf.
Cox 'many prominent friends, including Lisa Kudrow, Kate Hudson, Octavia Spencer and Brandi Carlile, have sent their love. Whitney Cummings called her a "legend".
The actress doesn't look too different except for her long hair when the audience first noticed her in 1984 in Bruce Springsteen's video for "Dancing in the Dark". (See her movements at 3:30.)
It was little more than a year ago that she recognized that she was the most confident she had ever been.
"I kind of own everything," she said to People in February 2019. "And the things that I don't feel comfortable with are things that I keep working on to grow and change." I think I am at a stage in my life where it is very easy to feel good about who I am and who I am and who I want to be. "
In the same interview, L’Oreal Paris’s new face said she had started injecting fillers on her face a few years earlier to keep looking younger. But she said she didn't like the result.
"[I tried] to keep up with the times in a way that was anything but maintenance," she said. "I only noticed it when I stepped back one day and said," Oh damn it. I don't look like me. "
At that point, Cox said she had been without fillers for two years.
The Cougar Town alum is soon expected on TV again, in a television film called Shining Vale, about a family moving into a cursed house. She is also said to be in the script version of Last Chance U, a Netflix documentary series about the life of athletes at community colleges.
