Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Serie A record in Juventus victory

Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo overtook Rui Costa to become Portugal's leading scorer in Serie A history on Monday
Ronaldo scored a penalty in the middle of Juve's 2-0 win over Bologna in the middle. This allowed the Bianconeri to gain a four point lead over the championship lead.
The goal was Ronaldo's 22nd in Serie A this season, one more than the 21 he made in his debut campaign in Turin after moving from Real Madrid in 2018.
With 43 goals, the 35-year-old also went beyond Rui Costa as the Portuguese player with the most goals in the top division in Italy.
Rui Costa spent eight years in Serie A, playing for Fiorentina between 1994 and 2006 and then for Milan.
Manchester United's former star Ronaldo remains the top Portuguese scorer in Premier League history after 84 goals in 196 games.
He is also the leading Portuguese scorer in La Liga history after scoring 311 goals for Real Madrid in 292 games, where he is the best scorer ever.
Only Ronaldo's great personal rival Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has scored more La Liga goals.
Ronaldo was recently criticized for missing a penalty against Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final and fighting for influence in the final against Napoli.
Former Italian international Luca Toni described Ronaldo's performance in the last four games of Coppa Italia as "average".
"I saw the entire Juventus team in trouble, even Cristiano Ronaldo, who looked like an average player in a very slow game," Toni told Rai Sport after the clash in Milan.
"You expect a lot from him, but he looked like he was in physical trouble - he couldn't even dribble a man."
Ronaldo's sister went to Instagram after the game to stand up for her brother, and explained that he couldn't always be expected to win games alone.
She said, "What else can you do? It is what it is and my darling cannot work miracles alone. I can't understand how they played like that. Anyway, keep your head up. You can't do more, my king. "
Coppa Italia's final loss is the only time in Ronaldo's career that he has lost two consecutive finals after being defeated by Lazio in the Supercoppa Italiana in late 2019.
