Cubs' Franmil Reyes hits first home run since released by Cleveland

Sudden Impact: Franmil Reyes hits first HR for Cubs originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
He's only played three games since the Cubs released him from waivers but Franmil Reyes is already making an impression.
On Saturday night in Cincinnati, for his first home run as a Cub, it was a 361-foot bounce in the opposite direction, on a 2-1 shifter, just inside the foul pole in right field at the top of fourth to earn a go- Ahead home run against hard-fighting Reds rookie Graham Ashcraft in the Cubs' 7-2 win.

He added a single in the fifth and finished the game 2-4, putting him at a 5-12 in his first three games as a Cub.
Reyes, who hit at least 30 homers in each of the last full big league seasons, was quashed by Cleveland last week after hitting just .213 with nine homers and .603 OPS in 70 games this year and winning a minor league demotion.
All-Star Ian Happ, who ran for the Cubs with a fifth inning single in a third run, added a three-run homer in the seventh. Willson Contreras also had the win, the Cubs' sixth in their last eight games.
