DaBaby doubles down on homophobic rant with more offensive comments
DaBaby seems to have a penchant for aggravating bad situations after some talk on Rolling Loud that raised fan eyebrows.
Rapper DaBaby seems to have a penchant for making bad situations worse. After making homophobic comments on stage at the Rolling Loud Fest on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, he offered an "explanation".
"I'm going to bring up this weak internet streak once, and then I'll give my fans my love, because what I and my fans do on the live show doesn't concern" you n — like on the internet or you bitter sluts on the internet “The 29-year-old rapper began in a nearly 5-minute Instagram story video that was posted on Monday.

"I said, 'If you don't have AIDS, turn on a cell phone lighter,'" DaBaby told his 19.1 million followers. "I said, 'If you don't suck a D-k in the parking lot, turn on the lights on your cell phone.'"
"All the lights went on - gay or straight - do you want to know why?" He continued. "Because even my gay fans don't have goddamn AIDS, stupid ass. You don't have AIDS. My gay fans, they take care of themselves. You're not a bad gay man, see what I'm saying? They are not junkies on the street. "
He said his crowd raised their cell phones because “my gay fans, they don't want this. They got lessons, n — a. They don't suck a D-k in any parking lot, n-a. You have to get yourself a room, a good five-star hotel, or wait for them to go to bed. ... If you're a fan of mine, go for some big dog. We don't just go for free. Even my gay fans have standards! "
As previously reported, during its Sunday set on the last of the three-day music festivals, DaBaby told attendees, “If you haven't shown up today with HIV, AIDS, or one of these deadly sexually transmitted diseases, put your phone on the brighter. Ladies, if your p-y smells like water, turn on your cell phone. Folks, if you're not sucking in the parking lot, light your cell phone. "
He said he just kept it "real".
T.I. came to DaBaby's defense the next day and commented on a social media post in the shadow room about his abuse on stage. "If Lil Nas X can kick his shit in peace ... it should be Dababy too," the rapper colleague replied with an emoji of himself that shrugged and the hashtag #equality.
DaBaby's performance is also controversial because it brought out rapper Tory Lanez right after Megan Thee Stallion appeared. Lanez is still facing criminal charges for allegedly shooting the superstar rap stress in 2020 at reality TV star Kylie Jenner's home.
A bit of karma hit DaBaby's antics and actions on Sunday: At least one fan was dissatisfied with it. During his performance, a shoe was thrown at his head, which was hardly missed.
