"You know, she's doing great. She's coming out," he told PEOPLE on Friday at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. "I'm glad she does."
Quigley was hospitalized earlier this month after a suspected fentanyl overdose. Three others - comedians Fuquan "Fu" Johnson and Enrico Colangeli and girlfriend Natalie Williamson - all died after using fentanyl-infused cocaine at a party in Venice, California.

"My heart goes out to all of the other victims, but [Quigley] is fine," said Rucker, who dated the comedian for much of 2020.
During his 30-minute set, Rucker played his classics and several Hootie and the Blowfish favorites. His set also included his latest song, Beers and Sunshine, which will appear on his upcoming album.

"It was just fun to be in front of the people again," he said, referring to the pandemic that temporarily stopped concerts.
"We've been doing the album for a minute now and I have so many songs and I'm just really excited for people to hear it," added Rucker. "You know, it's really cool to make music again, to play live music again, but I'm looking forward to this album."
