Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek shared heartbreaking news that his wife Kimberly Brook had another miscarriage.
On Saturday (June 20), the actor went to Instagram to report the "harrowing" experience and describe her night in the hospital.
"After suffering a brutal, very public miscarriage last November, we were overjoyed to learn that we were pregnant. This time we kept the news to ourselves. But last weekend we had another 17 weeks in ... the soul that we were had been excited to welcome the world, had classes for our family that did not involve joining us in a living physical body, "he said.

He continued: "We rushed [Kimberly] to the hospital by ambulance to spend another shattering night of blood transfusions.
"And when I stood next to it, thankful for the good people who navigated through the labyrinth of regulations to save their lives - but helpless to do a lot for the woman I loved, besides massaging their feet and warming them up hold (with my # DWTS robe ironically) - there was always something going through my mind that I now have to share: we have to be better careful. The actor went on to say that there are "no words" to relieve the pain in the world, but emphasized the importance of being there for one another.
"The world is in pain right now. There is denial, shock, numbness, anger - all the old patterns that we hold on to when deep trauma is exposed. And there are no words to relieve that pain ... around that Making the process less or less painful to solve it quickly, "he wrote.
"But the way out? Starts with an open, broken view of this question: How can we better take care of each other?"
To end the emotional contribution, he added: "All families who have been through this ... you are not alone."
This is Kimberly's fifth miscarriage in nine years.
The couple share five children, Olivia (9), Joshua (8), Annabel (6), Emilia (4) and Gwendolyn, who turned 2 years earlier this month.
