‘Dead and Gone’ Podcast Explores Mysterious Deadhead Deaths and Disappearances

The murder of two Grateful Dead fans after a concert in the Bay Area in 1985, as well as the possible unlawful conviction of the person convicted of double homicide, are being investigated in the upcoming Dead and Gone podcast.
Podcast companies Tenderfoot TV and Double Elvis Productions - the team behind Disgraceland - have teamed up for the true crime series about the aforementioned murders and other mysterious disappearances and deaths that have struck Deadheads over the years.
Tenderfoot TV's Payne Lindsey is leading the investigation into the podcast, with Disgraceland host Jake Brennan co-hosting.
"I knew during this investigation that we would run into surprises due to the strange coincidences, mysterious circumstances, and rock and roll at the heart of it all ... but I never would have predicted that I would encounter such a tragic case with so many unanswered questions would come across, "Lindsey said of a statement. "Many of these cases have not been properly investigated, and our aim is to uncover the truth about what really happened that night in order to ensure justice."
"I've studied the band's history and culture for years and I think people will be surprised that there is a darkness at the core of the Grateful Dead's music and that there is darkness in the entire history of the band," added Brennan. “It has manifested itself in the song and in real life and a lot of the band's fans have become victims of it. This darkness and the violence and mystery it spawned contradict the band's good intentions and the Grateful Dead's image of peace, love, good times and music, and that contrast makes for fascinating storytelling. "
Dead and Gone will premiere their first two episodes on October 15th. The following episodes are released weekly.
